Our Processes

Our can making process flow is as follows:

  • Shot Blasting

Production begins in the plate blast area. TSI has custom designed its blast cabinet and plate feed facilities to economically and rapidly blast plate to any of the steel structures painting council (SSPC) profile and cleanliness standards.

  • Rolling

The heart of TSI’s roll forming operation is its 4 roll, double initial pinch plate roll. Also CNC controlled, this machine has a 2 1/2" initial pinch capacity for plate up to 122" and a 3 1/2": maximum bending capacity.

  • Coating

In plant material handling is accomplished by 4 20 T cranes in the metal forming bay, and by 1 20 T and 2 50T cranes in the fit up and welding bay giving TSI the ability to lift and move up to 100 tons in its shop.
